“Comedy” is the second track on Bo Burnham’s "Inside". The song discusses Bo’s attempt to come out of retirement and try to heal the world, which at the time was at the beginning of COVID-19, with another comedy special. As with “Sad” from his 2013 special what., it establishes a (flippant) justification for engaging in comedy when the world around Bo is so upsetting. Bo Burnham (born August 21, 1990 in Hamilton, Massachusetts, United States) is a comedian, musician, singer/songwriter, writer and director. He wrote and directed the award-winning film Eighth Grade. Burnham originally found fame through YouTube before being signed to Comedy Central Records in 2008. Burnham has released five albums and an EP: "Bo Fo Sho - EP" (2008), "Bo Burnham" (2009), “Words Words Words" (2010), "what." (2013), Make Happy (2016). “Inside (The Songs)" (2021), The Inside Outtakes (2022). The latest 2 specials come in a collection album named “Inside (Deluxe)" (2021-2022).
